On Thursday, Caddis literally exploded off the water from Pinnacle Rock to up past Cotopaxi. Today we are experiencing a very strong hatch even to Coaldale. This one's a killer, so get out there over the next two weeks. Very good dry fly fishing on Black Foam Caddis and Larry's Egg Layer.

fished canyon trading post til 100 very strong emergence. fish are on adults like an elk hair with a peacock body. also pupa are being slammed anything green. in the afternoon i fished the valle bridge lease. no emergence til 200 then it went stupid. fish were even hitting bwo. couldnt kepp them off pupas and adults. tried to stay for the egg layer phenomonon but my arm got numb. beautiful day and beautiful fish. tomorrow the hatch should go to salida along with the crowds appearing as numerous as the bugs
